Andy Yu


ANDY YU is an architect and teacher.

He positions his work as an ongoing exploration of sense and sensibility, his interest lies in creating stories which reflects the rationality of materials and the poetic of the imagined. Having worked internationally in Denmark, Japan, China, Netherlands and Paris, he is a freelance architect for Sou Fujimoto Atelie Paris.

He has been teaching internationally in Australia and Europe in institutes such as the Melbourne School of Design, RMIT Piet Zwart Institute and the Fonty’s Academy of Architecture as a studio professor. His teaching has been a investigating the possibility of trans-disciplinary combination of food and architecture.

Born in Taipei and raised in Melbourne, In 2014 he relocated to the Netherlands. Currently he is based in Amsterdam and Paris where he teaches and works.
